A little something about Andy

Andy is a musician, freelance writer and photographer who makes his home at the Jersey Shore. That's not the Jersey Shore of recent television fame, but the easy going web of towns that share the ever-changing and endless ocean, beautiful beaches, boardwalks and byways of New Jersey's coastal towns. There is no place quite like it.

If you are a musician, you may know that Andy performs many different musical styles from popular to classical to jazz. He appreciates the regular opportunities to perform and record with stand-out musicians in the area's top venues. Andy's company, A-Song-For-You, has been providing music for private and corporate events for over 20 years. Also, to help an under appreciated community of jazz players and aficionados, Andy founded and developed NJJazzList.com, an informative online resource to support live jazz in and around New Jersey. In addition to accolades from the cultural community, the media has repeatedly cited this website as the number one resource for the local jazz community and it continues to receive support from the region's top jazz venues and performers. With jazz-centric event postings, lists of the venues and a weekly email blast that reaches over 6,500 jazz fans, players and key media representatives, it is where you go to find jazz in New Jersey.

In addition to his musical efforts, Andy has over 10 years of freelance writing and photography credits from his regular contributions to technology and business publications that include CMP publications' Information Week and Data Networking magazines, as well as work for online channel marketing efforts like TechBuilder.org, Businessweek.com and many others. Andy's LLC, LearningFirm Media, provides features about musical instruments, audio gear and production technology for print and online publications, including Church Production Magazine and American Songwriter Magazine. His insightful pieces on the arts and education have graced family and regional magazines in over 15 states. He enjoys the variety that comes with contributing to a wide variety of publications including American Songwriter, E-The Environmental Magazine and a host of in-house industry publications.
